cure for nausea

I am 7 weeks going on 8, and I have just been feeling nauseas.. is there anything that can prevent it?  I don't throw up for eating something, it is the smell (all kinds of smell) that I can't handle... even the scent of my shampoo or lotion that I used to love, I had to give it away and bought unscented ones... but oh my gosh, I am being so picky right now, I hardly eat because I don't want to throw up.

Is there anything that I can take or do to prevent from throwing up whenever I smell something?  Please help, this is my first pregnancy.

Oh I feel your pain.  I had "morning" sickness until I was about 6 months along.  Try eating saltine crackers a lot.  There are a few websites dedicated to helping you fight this.

Here's one that I liked:

Although none of that worked for me, you could ask your dr to prescribe something.  I had his give me Reglan and that worked a little.  Unfortunately, you might just have to suffer throught it.  Rest assured though, it usually passes after 13 weeks if your baby is reading the same pregnancy book you are!
