depo shot

I had my dd 5 months ago and I got on the depo and I was suppose to get another shot on the 17th and did not, is all the depo out of my system or does it stay in there for some time before it is out of my system?  Any info would be helpfull.

when i was in my teens i had the depo as well and i mad a habit of being late for it, my nurse used to say she'd have to do a pregnancy test before she'd give me the shot just incase i was pregnant but it the end i was late so often i used to lie and say i hadn't been sleeping with my boyfriend even if i had because i thought if i was prgenant the shot would some how make it all better(what we're we like!) i must say though i was told it took 3 months to get out of your system. a friend of mine got pregnant 6 months after stoppin it  but thats not to say you wont get pregnant straight away

I was on depo for a year. It was a nightmare! I gained a lot of weight and couldn't lose it until it was out of my system. About 8 months.
