depression and/or anxiety

hello,
is there any cases where the removal of the uterus has contributed to depression and/or anxiety? thank you.

i'm 43 i had my uterus remove i cry alot and i dont know what to do,it being 5 months now and i'm more depress can't stop crying my boy freind thinks i'm lose it help me

i am actually a concerned husband searching for some answers to my wifes depression and anxiety. she did have her uterus removed and we have been told that as long as she has her overies no hormon medication is needed.

Good question.  The thing is I had an ablation done on my uterus a few months ago, and emotionally it messed me up.  I did some checking into it, and your uterus does help control some of your hormones, not much but some.  I was a hormonal wreck when they burnt the linning of my uterus.  I ended up having my uterus removed in Jan., and my hormones calmed down.  This has happened to alot of women.  
The other issue is, is this what you wanted to have done, or did you have to have your uterus removed?  Some women battle depression afterward because they can't have children anymore?
