different results to preg tests--please help

First of all, I have always had abnormal cycles...except when I was on the pill-This is why I am somewhat confused if i am pregnant or not. I had sex on 11/13 and got a little nauseaus on 11/24 after eating pizza (no vomit..just a feeling). I took a test the morning of 11/25 and it was positive. I took another test the afternoon of 11/25 and it was negative. I took a test the morning of 11/26 positive and two more later that day..both negative. I took one last HPT the morning of 11/27 -positive...when i went to the doctor around 10 am on 11/27 my urine test was negative. he then took a blood test and i got my results on 11/28 negative. What is going on??? Please help

So can chemical pregnancies be common? I think I had one a couple of months ago cos when I went to the dr I was having faint but seeable positives but the nurse said it wasnt, but when I got home the line was obviously there the prob was I bled a couple of days later heavier than before, but it wasnt until recently I found the test again and its a def pos. In that situation theres nothing they can do is there? Because it was never confirmed by the dr I always wonder was I wasnt I, was there something better I should of done? Plus Im on weight loss pills, maybe thats what done it...Anyway what God Wills.

So far so good  - I am exactly 5 weeks today.  I really think this one is going to take because I have not been feeling well (especially at night) & have had some other pregnancy symptons.  I am a little obsessed though - I have been taking pregnancy tests daily just to make sure I'm still pregnant (silly?)  They are from Dollar General & they are only $1 so I think I might just do one everyday until my dr. appt. (which is the 22nd!!)  But thank you for asking.

I would suggest waiting until you are 17 days past ovulation & take a test.  See what happened to me when I had the chemical pregnany was this...
I was really late - like 40 days & the at home pregnany tests were negative.  I went to the doctor & they gave me a urine pregnany test in the office & saw an extremly light line.  But the blood test came back negative.  The doctor said that I probably had a 'chemical pregnancy'.  Now this time when I did the at home pregnany tests - they come up positive.  So maybe you are - I hope so!!  Good Luck & keep me posted!

I also had a chemical pregnancy last month & am feeling like I'm pregnant again.  Only now I'm too scared to go get a test.  I mean if I test now it could say positive - only to find out in 2 weeks that it's negative.  How's everything going with this pregnancy for you?

AF is your period - AF stands for 'Aunt Flo' I think???

As far as a chemical pregnancy - you will probably just start your AF on your own - if not your doctor may perscribe something like Provera to bring it on.  I had a chemical pregnancy last month - & just found that this month I got pregnant!!  (YEA!)  So it'll be OK - this was how it was described it me ...  your body was trying to get pregnant & started producing the HCG hourmone.  But for some reason it just wasn't time.  GOod Luck & try not to worry!

You may want to wait until after you miss your AF, I had a blood test done at 3 weeks and it registered negative, when I was pregnant and knew it, and all of my hpt's registered negative until 5 weeks, 1 week after scheduled AF.  Don't stress just wait until a few days after you miss your AF.  Or if you don't miss it then I wouldn't worry, but you could still retest after your AF is over, some women still get their AF in the beginning of their pregnancy.  Good Luck:)

Different brands of HPTs have differing sensitivities.  Sometimes it says on the box how much HCG they pick up.  If you use a very sensitive test, (sometimes labeled "Test up to 4 days before your period") it may be positive when a less sensitive brand is negative.

The same may be true with the blood test.  A qualitative HCG test (which is a preg test that gives a simple yes or no), may not register as positive if your levels are very low.  A QUANTITATIVE TEST will pick up down to almost zero.

The thing to do is to wait a few days, and test again.  If you are indeed pregnant, your levels will have increased to the point that any pregnancy test will show a positive.

If not, and your period is a couple of weeks late, contact your doctor again for advice as to what you should do next.

You could have experienced a chemical pregnancy, (a very early miscarriage.)  I think the blood test confirms that if you were pregnant, you no longer are.  I'm not sure if that's what you wanted to hear.
