dizziness

My 85 year old mother is taking plavix for dizzy spells, and it has worked very well for over a year. I recently started giving her cod liver oil supplements, and she has experienced a couple of dizzy spells again. Can this supplement possibly thin her blood, and cause the dizziness?

Did you stop giving her the supplements? And if so did the dizziness subside? I would call the doctor and/or pharmacist to make sure before giving her anything OTC. So many things can affect medications so you have to be super careful.
I hope she is feeling better soon.

Dizziness can be a sign of many things, ear troubles, blood pressure, diabetes, take mom in for a check up
NO MATTER what her age is  its still worth looking into.I know alot of times older people are left untreated due to the exact fact of their age! They seem to think their troubles are just part of the aging process.

Thin blood could cause the dizzyness.. but then again, at 85 years old, there dosnt have to be much of a reason for anything.. She's up there, and people at that age often get unexplained symptoms.
Hope all goes well. :-)

You might check with your pharmacist or doctor.  They should be able to tell you about interactions.
