embarrassing vaginal odor

I am 49 years old, I am not sexually active and have been for about 2 years experiencing  times during the day I smell a strong fishy odor coming from the vaginal area. I bath everyday, I have even started taking personal wipes with me to the restroom so that I can wash up during the day but nothing seems to stop the odor. I wear panty liners so that I can change them and the smell won't get in my clothes. My pap smears are normal. Even though my doctor says that they don't know what causes bacterial vaginitis, and there is no cure that will keep it from reoccuring, I find it  extremely embarrassing. I am more aware of the smell more when I get excited about something. If I go out of town, or go out to lunch, or even go to a meeting, anything that is different from my regular routine, I smell it. The episodes seems to be getting closer together, where else in the very beginning it may have been once every couple of months, not they seem to be ocurring more often. Please help me, what can I do?

I am 36 years old and Have been with 6 sexual partners in my lifetime. I just go back with my children's father about eight months ago. We had alot of sex but then I started getting Bacteria Vaginosis and yeast infections like mad. Get medical attention, tell your Doctor:

1) Two things BV and/or yeast should be treated at the same time with a pill (yeast) and vaginal gel (BV) combination.

2) If you are getting a reoccurring BV infection, you have Tricomones a low end STD that is so close to BV it is scary and men don't have symptoms like ever. Get treated for this both you and your partner.

Eat yogurt and drink Cranberry juice 100% do not douche this will be bad business, use no fragrance soaps not directly applied on the vagina, unless really bad discharges have occurred.

it could be because you have so many sexual partner that you obtain and odor. Many man carry there on odor and somethime man do clean around the head of the penis as will as women do. I think you should try not to have sex for a while and give the body time to clean itself. I wish you good luck.
