endometriosis

Iam going through infertility investagation, I have been trying to concive for about 2 years. A year ago I saw my Dr because I was not ovulating, he sent me for an ultra sound and it showed pcos and my Dr put me on the birth control pill for three months and after that I did start ovulating. Now they suspect I may have endometriosis. I get pain in my bum (like a pressure pain) painful periods and for years I have had unexplained rectal bleeding on and off. Has anyone heard of endometriosis in the rectal-vaginal septum if so what are the symptpms and do they differ from other endometriosis symptoms. also how is it diagnosised and what is the treatment. Thanks veronica

I have not been DXed with endo, but it is my understanding that to properly DX it you will have to have the lap procedure.  There is a website www.endo-resolved.com.  Check it out b/c it has a lot of info.  Best of luck to you!

yes, intercourse is very painful but I don't get pain while defecating. I get rectal bleeding on and off I don't know if that is a symptom or not.

I have endo, but I don't know about the vagianl rectum thing. I suppose it could grow there, it grows anywhere. The way mine was diagnosed was through laparoscopic sugery. I don't know if they would do the same thing. I had my growths burned off at the time, but they grow back. I hope that they can figure something out for you soon though. I am sorry I wasn't any help, but I wanted you to know that your post was read and someone is listening. Keep me posted about anything they find out. Good Luck!
