When I had my hysterectomyHysterectomy Hysterectomy - series I asked my Dr. the same thing and he said no, because they close you up and sperm can't get up in there. But I looked it up online and there have been a few womenWomen's way that have gotten pregnant. One lady actualy was able to carry her baby. I don't know what all is true or not with the stories that I read online.
The thought has actualy come across my mind a few times in the past few weeks. I have been pregnant 8 times and everytime I always felt the same way. This past few weeks I have felt the same way as I did when I was pregnant. I have been sick, dizzy, etc. But am looking into another reason why I have been feeling this way. Dr.s think maybe my thyroid. I have felt too silly taking a hpt becaues I had a hysterectomyHysterectomy Hysterectomy - series.
Do you think you might have an eptopic?
I am starting to think so, similar to you I am having similar symptoms of my previous pregnancies. Breast tenderness, sick to my stomach...but the added effect is very achy on my right side...crampy feeling. Do you know if and eptopic preg would show up in a preg test? I have an appt today w/ my PCP to find out what the heck is going on w/ my body. I am just nervious b/c of the symptoms. I have also read on the internet and even went to this sight where you ask an MD information (pay for it but you get your answeres ) I asked if I had a partialPartial (focal) seizure Partial thromboplastin time (ptt) Thyroid gland removal if it is possible and the answer was yes and other in formation I have found says the same. You had said that it might be something different..what are you thinking yours might be?
I'm glad that I'm not the only one going through this. When I first had the thought go through my mind I thought I was crazy or something. LOL But I was doing some more reading last night, and aparantly it does happen. I googled pregnancy after hysterectomy and a lot actualy came up. It said that it's rare, but does happen.
I'm not sure if that is what is happening to me, but it sure feels like it. If it's not this, then I'm thinking maybe a hormone problem. I know screwed up hormones can make you feel pregnant.
And yes, a pregnancy test will show a tubal pregnancy. As long as there is hcg in your system then it will show up on the test.
Keep me updated on your situation. :)
What is HCG? I have a Drs appt at 12:20 today..will let you know. Maybe my hormones are going crazy...I am 37(just turned in Jan) Had my last daughter when I was 23..maybe my body is going through somthing. I will google and see what comes up....I cant imagine this would be a common thing....what would be the odds??????
hcg is the hormone that your body makes when you are pregnant. That is what makes the test positive when you are pregnant.
So what did you find out at your Dr. app. today?
I'm going next week and am going to ask my Dr. to check my hormones. I'm guessing that is what's going on with me.
Well, what it comes down to ..Im not preg...I am 37 and have two children ..first one when I was 18 and second when I was 22. Apparently my body is thinking it is time to have another child therefore is putting out some heavy amounts of hormones, which in turn could be making me have a cyst on my ovaries! Imagine that! And that is what is making me have the similar symptoms of preg. I still need to go for an ultra sound but bottom line is : I am full of raging hormones and not preg! She said that having a partial does not leave out the chance of getting preg. b/c I still have my ovaries and tubes...(most of the time they take your tubes but not all the time) therefor preg can still happen but as we know it could not be a "real" thing. Let me know what happens w/ you..best of luck. Stinks b/c now it really has me thinking of a baby now...even though I know I cant have one...do you go through similar thoughts at times?
I had my hysterectomy 4 months ago and I'm only 28. But I have 4 wonderful children, but the surgery was a lot harder for me than I thought it would be. I was depressed at times when I would see another pregnant woman, or a new baby etc etc.
It's getting better though. But at times like this, where I feel pregnant, yes, it's hard. It makes me want a baby again, and I know that I will never be able to carry one again. My husband and I have actualy been talking about adoption in a few years. We'll see....:)
But the lack of periods is SO nice!! hahah I had such bad periods for so many years!
I go back to the Dr. next tuesday. I'm sure it's a hormone problem with me. I can't think of any other thing it could be.
Keep me updated with you also. :)
I thought that I was losing my mind. I have been feeling really weird and I never would have thought that maybe I could be pregant. I had a partial about 5 years ago. I only have my right ovaries. I have no uterus. From what I've been reading online, maybe I could be pregant. I been feeling sick in the mornings and afternoon. I'm afraid to take a test and make a dr. appt. Is this really possible???????
Ok this all started about 2 days ago when i was cooking dinner i suddenly had a servere pain in in left hand side in my abdoman, and then in my lower back i was in agony i could not move the pain lasted about half an hour and was extremly intense, i was streaming with pain and really needed to go to the toilet but could not go, i have had one spotting of blood and not any more. my partner called an amberlance but i did not want to go anywhere , they came in checked me over and asked if i was late for my period which as of tommorow i am a whole 4 weeks late. they said to me i could be pregnant and a possible eptopic pregnany anyway they left after about 30 mins and i had to get some rest, ever since then the pain has continued but comes and goes and can get intense. i cant walk very far or stand very long without felling dizzy and i contantly feel nausea.could i possibally be haveing an eptopic pregnancy?
