i had an eptopic pregnancy 2 years ago and had my left tube removed.I was devestated to think that there was a possibity I would never have any childern.Within 2 months i was pregnant again and I had a healthy pregnany with a lovely baby girl. So please hang in there Im sure it will happen but its is very scarey. We have also started trying again and have been for 5 months so I guess it will take a bit longer because of the one only tube. xx

Yes, it is possible to have a baby with only one functioning tube.

I also only have one tube and i am pregnant again only 5 weeks and i dont know yet wheter this one is normal yet. I dont have many symptoms and my levels are only at 29 so i go for more blood today and know tomorrow if this one is a keeper. I am sure it will happen for you.   Amanda

Yes, even with 1 tube, you can still get pg.  Definitely talk to your doctor because in theory you ovulate from alternating sides each month.

I had an ectopic on dec 28th and my right tube was removed. With lots of scar tissue and a damaged left tube I've been told that for now it's very important to have an effective birth control becuz possibility of another ectopic is a high risk once you have one ectopic. I've been told that in vitro may be the only way to get pregnant again. It's expensive and I see my doctor to discuss other options of getting pregnant on Monday 02/05/07 so i should get some more info then.
But i've been instructed not to try and get pregnant until i talk to dr. I use the depro shot for birth control, seems most effective.

Yes,you can get preg. with just 1 tube. You O from diff. sides every month. You should ask for an hsg(die inserted threw cervix) to check the condition of your remaining tube.I had an ectopic also, but was resolved with methotrexate shot.I waited almost 4 months & am now 13 wks.Good luck...ask alot of ?'s & as many tests as posible(*_*)Adriana

Nobody can answer that question.  Talk with your doc.  Many women do have kids with one tube.
