I am a 59 year old female. I sleep approx. 8 hours a night, but feel very tired from the time I get up till bedtime. I don't drink or smoke. Any suggestions why?

I would also vote to get checked for anemia.

Could be thyroid related or could be anemia, but you'll need to get a blood test to determine which it is, and if it's anemia, which type.  If you're like I was when I was anemic, have someone drive you or ensure you have a passenger to keep you awake for the drive if no one is available who can drive you.
