femoral hernia

I have a femoral hernia. This happened while walking my father's dog who pulled me hard to the ground he's a husky (I didn't think it was one due to I always lift very heavy things) I was informed by a few people that they believed this is what I have. Its located at the top of my thigh next to my groin area, each day it hurts more. I take pain in stride so I don't complain about it. But, I don't know what to do. I have no insurance and no money. I owe the hospital near me money due to kidney stones that I had last year. Will it be okay just to let it go and leave the lump on me? Will it become more painful day by day? What should I do with no money? Will it constrict my intestines to much? Exactly how harmful is this to me?
