There are many factors to infertility, and ovulation is only one.  You should always see a doctor before TTC, to get a general health checkup and to discuss issues relating to conception.  You could bring up your concerns at that time.

If you're ovulating then you're releasing eggs which means that in theory you're fertile on the days you're ovulating. All you need now is a man that is also fertile and has good quality and quantity sperm to do the job LOL!!! Having said that it could take an average couple with no fertility problems as long as 12 months to conceive or longer. Most of the time the drs won't always refer you to a fertility specialist if you've only been trying for 6-12mths as this is considered normal. On the other hand you could succeed first go like I did with all 4 of my babies!!! Good luck! PS: It's natural for every woman and man for that matter to wonder if they are not fertile at some point. I remember feeling the same after I miscarried my first - but then went on to have 3 babies without miscarrying and am now 6 or 7 weeks pregnant with #4! You'll be alright...just keep practising LOL!!!
