green nipple dischargee

I felt a warm and tender on my my right nipple and notice some discharge first it was clear and now it's starting to look green, first it was light green. I went to the doctor and she notice that same nipple is inverted. I have an appoinment next month for a mammogram to see what it can be. I have read your Q & A and I kind of feel better about the green discharge of how it might not be serious but I'm still worried about the inverted nipple and the warm and tender, these things are signs of breast cancer.

I think it's good that you went to your doctor, and you are going to have a mammogram, but I also wonder if you could get it sooner?  As Missy said, your symptoms could be a sign of breast cancer, or just an infection. I know how awful it is to have to wait for tests and then results, and I would go nuts having to wait so long. I'm not sure if it'll make you feel any better, but I was talking to my friend about two weeks ago, because I have been going through the whole mammogram/ultrasound thing for a lump that was discovered in my breast during an annual exam. Anyways, she was telling me that she had went through the whole thing herself a couple of times, and that she has an inverted nipple that turned out to be nothing. So it doesn't always turn out bad. I also hope it turns out to be nothing serious. Please let us know what happens, though.

and unusual discharge can sometimes be a sign of a malignancy in the breast.  Is there anyway you could have your mammogram sooner?  Does the doctor know that the discharge is now green?  the change in colour can indicate infection but these are worrisome symptoms and i think the sooner it is checked out the better...
good luck, i hope it turns out to be nothing
