hairloss

i have been severely depressed over losing large amounts of hair daily, so my doctor prescribed 10mg prozac and also 1 mg of ativan twice a day as needed . but my concern is that prozac could also contribute to my hair loss,i would like to know how many people on prozac  lose there hair,or would this help by making me worry less about it ? please id appreciate any advice i could get right now.

Ok. If you are depressed ONLY because of your hair loss, these medications are not necessary. You need to see a doc to find out why you are losing your hair rather than your doc putting you on meds. 2 mg of Ativan taken daily for over 3 - 4 weeks can EASILY make you addicted to it. Ativan is a highly addictive benzodiazepine.

I highly suggest getting a new doctor ASAP!
