hard lump in pubic area and swollen gland in groin

This morning I woke up with red swollen hard lump where top of my panty meets my skin, pubic area. Hurts to the touch. Yesterday I had chills very tired but no fever but I also have multiple sclerosis. Today along with the lump, I felt more of the same way as well as a pain near my right ovary as if I was going to get my period. I am 48 years old and I guess premenopausal as my period does not follow a regular schedule anymore, so the pain near my ovary dif not concern me. Because I was feeling feverish even though I have no fever ,I fell asleep for a little while. Now I have woken up and I have noticed that in addition to that hard lump in the top of my pubic area, the gland near my right ovary is also swollen...I am concerned as to what this is and what I should do. ...I also don't know what category to put this post under.

Hi,
The red swollen hard lump in the pubic area can be due to local infection. The infection can be in the skin and subcutaneous tissues caused by boils or abscess formation. Also you are having fever and the infection may require systemic antibiotics as well as local treatment. Local glands often get enlarged in presence of infection. Consult your Doctor.
