Used to work at a Gyno and I've seen it all, so have some knowledge. Are you honestly not sexually active at all? Better to know so I can maybe help. You definitely don't have to be having sex to get certain viruses. You can get herpes or genital warts which has similar symptoms as what you descibed from just mouth oral. If not, don't worry at all. It probably isn't anyway since herpes at least doesn't last for that long for the first time without excruciating pain accompanying it. It could simply be a hair bump that doesn't even have to be visible and yet can get trapped, causing a similar thing. Whatever, please don't worry, because there's a solution to everything. Also, can you describe the pain?

Don't freak out, hon. I'm not sure wat it is burning 38 and i can tell u wat to consider.  First thing it cld be and women nvr wanna talk about this, but cld it b a pimple?  I've had a few, maybe 3-4 in the last 20 yrs or so.  In my experience they are usually bigger than wat u wld get on ur face, and mine have not only been higher size-wise hut also in how far they stick out.  This is kind of embarrassing but I wanna help u so here goes:  I ALWAYS pop pimples. Wen I've tried to pop them down there I've noticed two types.  One is likeable normal pimple but bigger and ilonce its popped it tends to go down if i squeeze til it bleeds.  Btw they bleed and hurt A LOT.  To b honest, the first couple of times I freaked out thinking i had herpes.  The other kind I've noticed sounds more like u describe although mine were more red/pink than purple.  These tend to hurt a lot more and they're harder than the normal pimples.  They also don't "pop" and I've had them last a month. I tried to pop the first one so much I actually made it worse. I apologize if this was TMI, but idk any other way I cld have helped u;  I hope this helps or at the very least puts ur mind at ease.  Like I said, women don't talk abt this much cause I think it is not only embarrassing but it makes me feel dirty and no matter how common it is we are all afraid to say anything cause we don't want anyone saying we have herpes or something.  Good luck him and try jot to panic.

P.S.  wen I got my first yeast infection, I had NO clue and thought my bf had cheated on me.  It was very red and itchy and i cld not even wipe after going potty.  Keep that in kind so u don't panic like I did whenever u get one.
