Hi there and welcome to the forum. Well, menopause can take several years dear and actually it is very very common in menopause to bleed heavily. I'm approaching these years myself and my period is increasing tremendously. Now, as it increases, this is something for her to be talking to her doctor about in her annual exam. Her doctor should moniter that. But this is not uncommon in the years that she is in. good luck
