A lot of people experience this, especially geriatric patients. The most I can suggest from here is to get some more fiber in your diet. Eat some oats for breakfast, eat fruit, take a fiber supplement like Metamucil if you can't fit these into your diet. These will help make it a little more regular and easier to pass. I would still go to the doctor just in case, but this would be a place to start. You can at least tell your doctor you tried it then so additional steps can be made if it's not working.
