how good are the early pregnancy tests??
hi.. totally confused here.. i had a faint positive this morning with a first response and then early afternoon i tried a clear blue digital..which said not pregnant.. i have also been having period like cramps... really hoping my period doesnt come.. but i am not feeling hopefull.. my period is actually due today! x

Pregnancy test kits are basically qualitative kind of test which just tests presence of hCG hormone in the urine of pregnant woman because this hormone is only produced during pregnancy among women. But this pregnancy test depends upon the particular level of hCG in the blood. So sometime it may be possible that it can give you false negative results during early days of pregnancy only because of un- sufficient level of hCG to make test positive.
You can also go for blood test which will give you more confirmatory diagnosis of presence of hCG and pregnancy.
