how soon after a miscarriage can i get pregnant again

I had a miscarriage on the 21st of June, and from the 5th to the 8th of July, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex several times a day. How great is the possibility that I could gotten pregnant during that time, since we both wanted to make up for that loss. Normally, I'm pretty aware of my cycle, but due to that miscarriage I'm a little clueless. Should I even get my hopes up, that we could've been successful?

I am sorry you had to go through so many miscarriages, but that is encouraging that you had 3 healthy pregnancies immediately after your miscarriages. My biggest fear right now is that I will miscarry again next time I get pregnant. Thanks for sharing your story. It gives me hope.

I had a miscarriage (d&c) on June 10th and still have not gotten my first period. Yes it is possible to get pregnant right away after a miscarriage, but your period could be messed up because of the miscarriage and that will make it difficult to know when you can expect it. Like Clysta said, it could be anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Also be aware that many weeks after a miscarraige you can still get a false positive on a hpt if the pregnancy hormone hcg has not gone down yet. That means if you are not positive that your numbers went all the way down and you get a positive, you will still want to confirm it with a series of blood tests with your doctor to be sure the number is going up and it is a new pregnancy. Good luck!

It's hard to say. Most women will have a cycle anywhere from 4-8 weeks after a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage that started June 4th, and just recently started my cycle again on July 9th.

If you ARE hoping to get pregnant though, remember less is more. Having sex as frequently as you've described (a few times a day) will actually lower your chances of conception. A man needs at least 36 hours in-between any ejaculations, so having sex every other day is much better to be doing. Wait around 2 weeks after you last had sex and take a pregnancy test with first morning urine. Try not to get your hopes up that it will happen immediately though. It can take a year or so for a couple to naturally conceive.
