Hi, I know what your going through... I had a hysterectomy 16 days ago and the evening of the 4th
night after surgery, I sat up and felt the same tearing, ripping sensation.  Yesterday I spent 9 hours
in the emergency room because of this pain on my lower right side.  I was wondering If your situation
has improved and what was the problem?  Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I am going thru the exact same thing right now. That tearing searing, stabbing feeling..mine is on the left side 4 weeks post op..it happened the same way..i got up and felt it all of a sudden .It has gotten worse everyday since.Looking for an answer also.Had a cat scan. it revealed a cust on the ovary(only uterus was removed). Gyn says that can't be causing the pain. The man is nuts.Yhis is excruciating at times.Hopefully someone can help us all. Luck to both of you.
P.S. ( I am going to see another doc today if he comes up with a reason i will post)

In reading your comment Dec. 18, 2007, I'm wondering about resolution.I seem to be having the same symptoms.  CT showed a cyst, but Dr. said the same thing; this can't be causing the pain.  So, what is?  Have you has cessation of the pain?
Would really like to hear from you.
Thanks

Just a week ago I had a vaginal hysterectomy (only uterus removed) and was feeling extreme bloating for days until I took simethicone and got some relief. The problem is that it doesn't feel normal when I urinate. I have to void more often and there is always a mild cramping feeling especially when I use the bladder muscles. Last night I woke up and thought I was bleeding, only to find it wasn't blood. I'm thinking it must have been a leakage of urine. Then a couple of hours later I awoke and was buckled over in cramping pains. I'm afraid my bladder is damaged or not working properly and would appreciate responses from anyone experiencing similar symptoms.

Ladies, since all of yall has had hysterectomy before, can I ask why and was it your choice or did the doc say you needed one? I am asking because I have been told I need to think about having one, I am having alot of problems but they really can't tell me why....

I had partial done 10/08 and still have pain on the right side.  It also feels like something is pulling and a knot. I've been waiting to see if it would go away but when I walk or stand more than 5 minutes it appears again. Any suggestions?
