DONT GET ON DEPO it is the worst.... Try the patch, I just got on Depo and it has caused me to bleed from the second week for the past month and a half and really heavy... I just found out i need to go to the doctor because it is really dangerous.... before you get on depo i would do a lot of research and check out this womans testimony about her experience....

Yes, you should forget about taking Depo. It's bad for you.  And yes, you could be pregnant.  The only way to know is to take a test, but unfortunately you're going to have to wait a while to do that.  I would really suggest you look into additional birth control options if taking the pill is too hard for you.  Discuss this with your boyfriend and maybe make a trip to Planned Parenthood.  You don't sound like you want to be pregnant so make sure you are doing every thing to keep it from happening.

The more you miss your pill, the less effective it becomes.  The pill needs that to be in your body consistently (not missing pills) for 3 months to become truly effective.  Usually, if you've been diligent on taking the pills for a while, missing a pill here and there will not affect it's ability to work properly.  But, since your cycle was severly messed up last month, it's probably not in your system.  There is a chance you could be pregnant, depending on if you were ovulating at the time.  I do commend you for at least recognizing that your pill might not be working properly and used a second form of bc, but sometimes these things happen.  If you miss your period, take a hpt.  I wish the best for you.

Yes, I agree with the above.

It's hard to say from your description, but any time you miss some pills it can affect the pill's ability to prevent pg.

You should take a hpt if you're late for your next period.

Anytime you have unprotected sex you CAN become pregnant.  I suggest you switch over to the DEPO shot if you are too forgetful to take your pill. Only way to know for sure is to take an HPT when your period is due, if it doesn't show of course.

Hello
I too have heard bad things about depo. I was on the patch for two years and it worked great for me. Didn't really have any side effects from it.
