irritation after sex
I had unprotected sex on Sunday night with my partner (I'm on the pill) and have been a bit irritated since then (it's now Tuesday evening). I have a thin discharge (no remarkable odor) that seems to have some blood in it. My period ended last week--could the blood be remnants? Could I just be irritated from sex, or should I go to the doctor? Can BV show up this fast?
Thanks, everyone. I feel better this morning. There was definitely enough lubrication, but I guess there is still a friction factor :) . I called my doctor's office and will get checked out anyway.
Just to note that if you are on the pill then it isn't unprotected sex. Maybe it is just from "friction" and irritation from having sex. I would agree that if it persists then see your doctor. Spotting or breakthru bleeding is not uncommon while on BCP so it may be just that. I wouldn't worry to much.

I agree with everyone. My first thought was that you didn't have enough lubrication and it's irriation from sex. Try some KY Jelly if you need to - it's great stuff!
Your cervix could be irritated from having sex..which is common in women. Depending on your arousal, age, etc...can vary the natural lubrication "down there".
