itch

My vagina has been itching on and off for a month. For about two weeks it stop, but the other day my husband and I had sex and it started itching so bad the day after that I was bleeding. I don't want to go to the doctor. Woudl that E45 bath oil work for me?

Hi, it sounds like a yeast infection, and E45 would not do much to help. You could try some natural live yoghurt, probiotic. You can eat it, and also put it on down there, it realy helps to cool the area and it helps to put back some of the good bacteria that helps to fight such infections. There is also many over the counter medicines and ointments, such as Diflucan, a tablet and you can also buy pessaries.
Like anewlifeforme said it could be bacterial vaginosis or an STD so you need to get it checked just in case.
Your partner also needs treating or you could get it again or give it back to him.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
You could try a screening kit made by Vagisil.  They sell it over the counter and it will tell you if you have a yeast infection, BV (Bacterial Vaginosis), or an STD and/or need to see a doctor.  That way you can make sure what it is and get the proper meds to treat same.  Good luck!
