itching and burning

In the past couple of days I have experienced some serious itching and burning around my clitoral area and to the left and right. It doesn't burn anywhere else and I'm not experiencing abnormal discharge. My clitoral hood looks a little swollen and I just don't know what to do. I put some antibacterial cream on the area to soothe the burning and itching, please help.

For about a week now. I'm probably just going to call my gyno and ask her about it.

Could be an bacterial infection, or a yeast infection. I'm no doctor but you can google yeast infections or bacterial infections down there and see if it sounds familiar. How long have you had it?
