It sounds like hormones to me! Don't know about your sister but I had breast cancer and didn't get any pain until after my surgery. The only time I can remember my breast feeling "bruised" was in early pregnancy. Any chance you are pregnant?

Do a breast self-exam looking for lumps, and see your doctor.  When there is breast cancer in a primary relative, it is always worth while to be extra vigilant about any signs.
