laparotomy

after surgery 1 month ago, still having pain, anyone else had a laparatomy or similar surgery , how long was your recovery ?

I posted an answer to the one below as well. I had lap in July and had complications, but was able to walk the first day and never had a hard time walking. Even with an infection and Seroma, I was still in good shape 6 weeks post op with an open wound(from the seroma). Basically a seroma is an accumulation of fluid that builds up and can't get out on it's own. It was very painful and similiar to the symptoms you've described, therefore I had to have my incision reopened and let drain for over a month. It sounds worse than it actually was, but once it was "open" the pain subsided immediately. Please make an appointment with your doctor, they need to see you in person.
