large painful bump on vagina
hi, uhm i'm 16 and im a virgin. i get these large painful bumps on my vagina sometimes. i have no idea what's wrong, the bumps are hard and go away after a couple of weeks. so what i want to know is; what are the bumps called, what causes them and is it possible for me to prevent ever getting them again? thanx
All i did was soak a cloth in real hot water hold it on the bump for five minutes then squeeze it slowly and it popped just a lot of blood and a little pussbcame out
I do not shave my pubic hair but I still get the bumps. Hair follicles tend to get irritated and possibly even infected.

Try wearing only cotton briefs, don't wear tight clothing, and use a feminine wash instead of soap (Walmart sells a generic brand that is unscented - I highly recommend it.) Most importantly, don't be afraid to approach your mom or older sister about it.

Do you shave? If you shave, you will irritate the pubic region. We're supposed to have this hair. It's there to protect the inner mucous region of both males and females. It provides insulation that actually helps to aerate the private area. I recommend that you don't shave the region at all. If you wish to trim the hair with scissors dedicated to this purpose, you can do that, but you would be better served to just let the hair grow and leave it alone. You do not even need to use soap in this region. In fact, you should not use soap in this region at all. It irritates the sensitive mucous region. You will get plenty clean down there simply from being in the water. In short, don't shave.
