my mother finds it ificult to take lasix 40mg in the morning and ha been taking at midday and 20mg at 6 pmPremenstrual syndrome Relieving pms, due to the side effects. increased dosage to 40 mg twiceTwice-a-day a day but starting moring. can she take due to the side effects which unable o function, reading and bad headaches take 20mg morning then 40mg at midday then 20mg at 6pm. she does not mind going at night which may only be twiceTwice-a-day
First of all I would contact the doctor because this sounds like it could work for her. However is she getting headaches in the a.m. because of high blood pressurePressure ulcer? If so, sounds to me like she might need to take the 40mg in the a.m. I also take a diureticDiuretic ap-es and I break mine up because once I take it ...well where's the bathroom!!! Can be a pain. If your mother thinks she is having "side effects" like you mentioned -unable to function, read, bad headaches...then also contact her doctor because maybe he can change her to another medication. Good Luck
Another thing I might suggest is that her potassium levels could have changed while taking the lasix and this could be causing the headaches. She needs to check with her doctor.
