Hi Ellaina,

First of all Baby Dust to you!!.

If you have missed your period means there are a lot of chances of you bbeing pregnant. As you blood test was negative it might be due to the Harmones not showing up the correct result. I would suggest you wait for a weeks time and go for a  hpt again and it might be positive. Sometimes the results show up late. As you mentioned you never missed a period in your life which means you have regular cycles and that should not really have any issue. Just wait and relax for a week. Do not stress yourself. Things will be fine. I hope this helps.

And wish you all the luck. Hope you hpt turns positive.

Taking medicine to get your periods is not the right solution. Start exercising daily and drink lots of water. You should go to the doctor and get this checked. I think if the doctor prescribes you some medicine, you can go with that.

Take care of your health.

There are a lot of reasons for missing a period. Missing a period (even if you have never ever missed one) does not mean you are pregnant.

A blood test cannot be wrong, unless taken too early. But a blood test can pick up pregnancy 3-5 days after implantation, so the fact you're over 5 weeks late means it would show up on urine and blood test. Therefore, you're not pregnant.

Sometimes the stress of TTC can mess up your cycles, or other types of stress as well. Even though you might not feel stressed about TTC, it can still cause stress in your body - delaying your cycles. Hormonal imbalance, PCOS, cysts, illness, STDs can all delay a period as well. I would suggest seeing your again and bein tested for the above things to rule them out as a  cause.
