Hi all,
My period was due on 3rd,but it didn't turn up so i took a preganancy test, it's called Quick and easy  preganancy (i found it in 99C store). The test came up positive. I'm very excited about this and at the same time kind of a bit worried. So what should i do next? is the preganancy test correct? Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely you are pregnant. It's rare to have a false positve. It happens, just not often.If you want you can retest. In my experiance first response pregnancy test is the best. (I have taken ALOT of tests) If it turns out that you are pregnant then you need to get to your Dr. or OB/GYN they will do blood test and maybe a pap. and answer any questions you may have. If you can't get into your Dr. right away you need to get on a prenatal vitamin right away. You can get a good one at any drug store or someplace like walmart. You need a prenatal that contains at least 400mcg (0.4 mg)of folic acid and a B vitamin. Just look on the back of the label and it will tell you how much is in each. Or talk to your pharmacist he should help you find a good one. Taking Folic acid is very important in the first trimester of pregnancy. Congrats on your pregnancy! Is this your first? Hey congrats. My AF was due on the 3rd too and still hasnt shown her face. I havent tested yet, As I am scared to see a big fat negative. I am having no symptoms of either though.

Mine was due on the 1st of this month...I took two pregnancy tests (First Response) on friday and they both came up positive.  My breasts are sore and I have cramping and I'm exhausted. I started on generic prenatal vitamins from Walgreens yesterday but can't get in to doctor until Monday. Congrats to you two!

Hi nalla,
This is my first pregnancy and i will consult doctor regarding this. So far i don't have any symptoms except for cramps and uneasy ness in the stomach area. Thanks so much on the info. All the best to justcurious and imgonnabeamommy. I will update you guys ASAP.

You are very welcome.I hope you have a very good and healthy pregnancy. Please just ask if you have any worries or concerns about anything. Your body will be going through a lot of changes and it's scary (especialy if it's your first) but also very exciting! I have been through a lot of pregnancies and love to help in any way that I can. I am actualy trainging to be a doula so pregnancies and babies are my thing. I love it! I am on this site on and off all day everyday. (I am addicted LOL) so don't be afraid to ask any of us anything that you need. A lot of women I have come into contact with are afraid to ask questions thinking that they are stupid questions. But my dad once told me that if you don't know the answer it isn't a stupid question. I wish you the very best in your journey to motherhood. It's an awesome experiance!

Congrats to all the new mommies!! liketobeamommy , you should go to the doc as soon as you can to find out for sure if you are preggers. A false positive is rare but I had it happen to me not too long ago. It was a test from the dollar store. It came up positive that morning when I took it. Becasue I wasn't sure if it was a true positive  I splurged and bought the good first respnse test. Two came in a package and a couple days later I took one and it was neg. I then went to the doctor to be certain and the blood tests were negative as well. I had gotten my hopes up because I was told I may not be able to concieve because of health issues and my different female anatomy. But now I'm glad because I wasn't ready to be a mother and my boyfriend and I had split up , so that would have made things difficult. Congrats though! I bet your pos. is a true pos and I wish you luck!!!

I still have pains and cramping. I took the appointment for tommarrow hope everything turns out well. Does anybody felt pain in the abdominal area. Is it common if you are preganant and also have constipation. Let me know.
