I have been on paxil for 3 years and ever since have not been able to acheive an orgasm not to mention i also take Concerta for ADD, I would like to know if there is something out there we could take to regain our libido or at least be able to perform normally sexually.

thats the eason i am tryingto wean off of it in addition to the fact that i have worked through the anxiety issues -paxil is adifficult med to get off of -it ais a physiological withdrawel-and as far as being on it during pregnancy its a risk vs benefit  thing and there is no hard evidence that it is a risk to fetus, but i dont really want to take that chance  if i dont have to

Hi, I saw a posting by hikergirl in the maternal forum. It sounds like you are trying to get pregnant as well. You should talk to your doctor about being on Paxil and ttc. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to mix the two.

I have found all antidepressants, and all anxiety meds give you loss of libido, I believe it totally ruined me, I haven't had an orgasm through sex in 3 years, it's not because of my husband we have lots of foreplay, I believe it's because I took 4-5 different antidepressants for two years straight, and now I'm a loss cause.

Hi Paxil does have that effect on the libido.Zoloft might be an option, but there is some libido dysfunction with that all so.Not a high percentage though.Would consult with doctor and ask, some times if one medication interferes with libido most others will all so.Have you tried therapy for your anxiety disorder? Some times talking with some one will help all so.Then try to get off the meds with doctors approval of course.Good luck to you.Raven33.
