lower back pain (early) in pregnancy

by Tiva, Sep 25, 2006 12:00AM
Hi there, I feel that I am pregnant for the 3rd time and I am confused about some of the symptoms. I am going for a blood test on Tuesday, but until then my mind is racing. I know that every pregnancy can be different and I am just curious if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms. So here goes...  My main symptom would have to be lower back pain. It's really got me down. I am also having period like cramps, but have had them for about a week now. Thats not normal for me, at all! My breasts are sore and I am using the bathroom more frequently. The other major sign is I am sooo tired! I just feel pregnant!! Does anyone else feel this way? If so, please let me know! Thank you!

It sounds like you are pregnant. I am almost 4 months pregnant and at 6 weeks to about 9 i had very intense back pain and period like cramps. My doc said as long as there is no blood everything is fine. So good luck and let us know.

Well THANK YOU everyone! I know I am not crazy... just maybe wishful. As far as the hpt, I dont put much faith into them because I've had false negatives 3 times. I am going for a blood test to once and for all put my mind at eas. Thanks again for all of your comments...

well, how late are you? did you miss a period?  those symptoms can be attributed to just about anything!!
if you had 2? pregnancies, then you know you cannot go by symptoms alone. if you are late, take an hpt, other than that wait until tues, for the blood test. if you are pregnant and further along, then ususally you do feel those symptoms but if its early on, usually you do not feel symptoms until like i said, later on. you may be putting the cart before the horse so to speak. i know you want to be pregnant but be careful you dont get those hopes up too, too soon. i know i thought i was pregnant many times and was peeing like CRAZY...NERVES/stress.
best of luck!!!!

Hi there, I am not due for another two days. I do agree these symptoms sound like many other things. My second pregnancy I thought without a doubt I had a bladder infection, I turned out to be pregnant. I know that "wishful thinking" can mess with your head. However, I never got all these symptoms together at once! My first pregnancy I knew something was up well before my period was due. So, I know it's possible! It is going to feel like a million years until I get this test done! If I am not... I cant wait for a nice glass of wine!!! Thanks again!
