lump in groin changing shape

4 weeks ago I discovered a 1cm hard round lump in a gland located in my inner thigh (groin?) area. I had been to the doctors office for repeated yeast infections so he perscibed diocyclin for a possible infection which may have caused the swollen gland.

Not to make a mountain out of a mole hill <wink>, but 7 days later on the diocyclin I've noticed the lump has changed from a small round lump to a more oblong lump. It runs about 3cm long by about 1cm wide.  It's actuall less noticable than before, like it sticks out less.

Is that normal? Has anyone else ever had anything similar?  The only other health issues I have are of course the yeast infections and I feel absolutely exhausted all the time. That and severe headaches.

I look forward to some feedback.

ok...now they just showed up after I posted again...oh I am glad that it's not Bartholins(not that your pain is any less) but Bartholins hurts sooo bad you would know it for sure.  I had just never heard of it before I got it and I was surprised by the pain involved with it and the cure.

The gland is actually higher, I believe it to be the inguinal gland?  It doesn't hurt, it's just tender around the area.

I'll make another appointment to see the doc next week, maybe these things just take time to clear up.  Possitive thinking!!

if it's close to your vaginal opening on one side it could be a Batholins Gland that is infected.  I just went through this and have told every woman I know about it cause I never knew it existed and boy as it got bigger it hurt SO BAD.  The dr gave me antibiotics too and it did nothing for the gland.  What happens is the the gland is responsible for lubrication in the vagina and sometimes it gets backed up in some it will just go away in others the gland becomes infected and sometimes will drain on it's own.  If it doesn't drain after about 1-2 weeks than the dr has to do it.  It is an experience let me tell you..the draining..I will explain further if you think that is what you have..but I don't want to go further if it's not it's pretty gross and very painful but if it is what you have you you want to be prepared for the procedure to follow. Let me know if you want the details.
