I hate maternity clothes. They always slide off my butt!! I started wearing them at 4 months with my first, and about the same with this one now. I like tighter clothes. I wear long camis under maternity tanks, or just longer tees. I wear a lot of skirts with elastic waists so I don't have to buy maternity pants. Old navy has great jeans that I like that look like real jeans, they don't have that strip on top. They are really cute and I can wear them after the baby is born without anyone knowing they are maternity! Very good price too, but they always slide off my butt. After the belly is gone this will no longer be a problem, but for now...agggh, I hate it!

You can start to wear them whenever you like but you'll only NEED to wear them when your other clothes get too tight. I started wearing maternity clothes at 12 weeks with my 1st baby and with my 2nd I was already a SAHM so I basically just lived in regular yoga pants and some maternity Ts. Good luck on showing early! LOL

Just depends on each person.  With my first, I didn't show or even get a belly till just before 7 months (around 27 weeks) then I popped.  With this one I was bloated a lot in the beginning and have had a little tummy, but didn't really look pregnant till around 16 weeks, I'll be 22 weeks tomorrow and still get by without much in maternity, but do look pregnant now.  It's exciting but I didn't want to get into them too early and have to buy more clothes later when I got much bigger.  Don't be surprised if it takes awhile with your first one, but do enjoy bending over and things like that, I know I'm going to miss it very soon...congrats!

Everyone is so different. Body shape and size, your uterus. Some show early and some much much later. I was about 4 months and i bought some pants. Back then (not THAT  many years ago lol) they didnt have the cool low styles like now. I think the hardest part is when you just start to show, but to others they dont know if you are. congrats on the pregnancy!!

Well I depends on several things. One is this your first pg? If it is then it depends on your size to begin with. With my first pg my pants got tight around 8wks, but I just wore long shirts till I was really showing. Which was probably around 12-14wks. With my second pg I had to start wearing the pants at 6wks, but mainly due to bloating and the fact that all my muscles just completely relaxed. So I would just make sure that you are comfortable, if you are like me I was so nauseaous that I didn't want anything tight against my tummy. Hope this helps. Oh, if you aren't ready for maternity clothes, then buy some elasitc waist pants and comfy shirts. Best of Luck. I am currently ttc since I lost a baby in March.
