i did a myomectomy ten month ago and since then my mentruation has been scanty, for the first three months i did not see the menses at all, then when it came it was just in drops of very dark thick stains and after that it stopped and the pregnancy test is negative; is it as a result of the surgery? i wish to get pregnant what do i do?

I had an abdominal myomectomy on 7-28, everything went great but I have questions about my cycle.
I have had normal cycles and during a Dr appointment discovered I had a 10 cm fibroid on the OUTSIDE of my uterus it was connected to a stalk and during the surgery my uterus was not cut.  I can still have a vag. birth if I become preg. My question is because the surgery went so well can I expect my period on time this month? Also can I predict when I ovulate again!
I did have sex with my BF 1 week before my next period is to start and 2 1/2 weeks after the surgery. But I figured it would be okay since I am 1 week from my expected period.
Would this type of surgery throw of my cycle dates???  Please help me figure this out!  Thanks!!

When you had the myomectomy they may have done a D&C to clear the womb lining, this would result in lighter periods. I think you need to ask your Doctor if that is the case, if not he may do some blood tests to check your hormone profile. Good luck.
