methotrexate treatment for ectopic pregnancy

hi i was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with an ectopic pregnancy.I  had a positive pregnancy test but then 2 days later started bleeding i  then had an ultresound scan which confirmed i had a preggnancy in my fallopian tubes, i had lots of blood tests which showed that the hcg levels were still rising slowly so they decided to treat me with methotrexate because they explained i was very early( 7 weeks preg) and my hcg levels were low. When i returned to the hospital 4 days later for my blood test it showed that my hcg levels had not only risen but almost doubled so they were considering a second dose of methotrexate but wanted to wait to see my levels were on my 7th day blood test,to my relief it had started to drop so they were satisfied and then sent me home.my 1st question is is this normal for my hcg levels to double at that point because the doctors had explained that its quite common for them to slightly rise but they never said anything about it doubling. Also its been 8 days since i had the treatment and i have quite strong period pain on m6y right side and down my leg, when i have a normal period i do get period pain on my right side and down my leg so i dont know wheather its anything to worry about.i dont have any stabbing pain which the doctor had said if i do i am to come back into hosp immediatly just the period pain.I really need some advice so please can you help thanks

I had two have a second shot of metrotrexate because my numbers doubled after the first. I actually experienced very bad pains in fact I actuall y had to go the Er because it was as if I was having a miscarriage and if you have ever experienced that it is actually horrible pain. I am actually almost at two months of my first shot my beta is now at 527 and I am still experiencing pain. I have my beta checked every four days and ultrasounds and so far it seems as there is no sign of rupture but I can tell you that I am still scared of the pains  and the beta is going down very slowly.

call doc or go strait to er!  make sure of not a clot.  i would assume to double check for that.  i had same treatment for that but only had one dose.  i think i may have had a little cramping and passed some tissue with blood.  i'm thinking that period should come later.
be blessed and healed in Jesus name
