miscarriage and bleeding

Hi
I had a miscarriage on the 15th November. I visited my Dr who examined me and confirmed this. The bleeding seemed to trail off over the next two days, now however it seems to be back only very heavy with some clots, is this to be expected? I feel that i may be being a bit over worried as i no that it is still early days and i expected to bleed for a couple of weeks but did not expect it to trail off and then come back. Thanks x

That is probably why.  I was 8 wks and 10-11 wks. i did not have D&C either.  My friend that just m/c was 6 wks and she did not go back either.

No Dr said i didn't need to come back to see him unless of course there were any problems.

How far along were you?  That may be why you do not have to go back.

Mine did that. Its like i started miscarrying then the bleeding stopped and a couple of days later is when the actual miscarriage happened. I did not have to have a D&C either time.  Are you following you hcg numbers?

Hi no i didn't have a D&C my Dr said that if the pain and bleeding continues or gets very heavy to go to the hospital. I wouldn't say that the bleeding is really bad but i thought it strange that it came back after almost trailing off completely.

Yes that is normal.  You will also experience uterine contraction also as it expels the clots and stuff.  I wish I would have had access to this site when I miscarried(2 time). I was told to take ALeve for the cramping and contracting-it was also prescribed for decreasing the blood flow.  Did you have a D&C?
