if you have bacterial vaginosis then you probably need an antibiotic to clear it up.  You should call your doctor.

It does sound more like a yeast infection tho, and if so, then the best thing to do would be to get the otc Monistat insert with a cream, one of the 3 or 7 day versions.

Hmm.. That doesn't sound good.

If you tested positive for BV it's probably from that.. or you might have a yeast infection.. they can make you feel really itchy and swollen. (I know, I have a YI right now)

You should ice the area to help reduce the swelling & take ibuprofen. Wrap some icecubes in a wash cloth and apply to that area. Keep it on as long as you can stand it. Don't have sex. It will only make it worse right now.

Don't wear tight pants. & sleep without underwear on. Wear cotton underwear during the day and loose fitting pants. You want to keep the area free from friction and able to breathe as much as possible.

Could it be possible that you're having an allergic reaction to something down there? Stop using any kind of soap on that area and see what happens. If the swelling and itching don't start to subside after a few days then go back to your doctor and explain how much pain you're in and that you need them to give you a proper solution on how to deal with it.
