nausea, disorientation, vomiting

i've been in thialand for 7 months and since last thursday i have been in bed. first it started with severe knee pain, both knees ( i have a meniscus tear in the right) i took tramodol and that seemed to help but then a few days later i got my period, took more tramodol , period felt weird like it wasn't coming out properly. had nausea, no diarrhea, but the same day in the enveing i vomited twice, second time was projectile ( sunday). i felt better after i vomited. restless nights sleep felt better on monday. tried to go out and get some food but felt disoriented, dizzy, sick so spent the day in bed. today i went out to get some food and same thing happened. managed to eat but came home and in my bed now. i'm using air con everyday because when my body gets to a little bit too warm i feel worse. when i have the air con on i feel 'normal.
i'm wondering if i may have some food poisoning ( i had an indian curry saturday night) or denge fever. have had hot and cold flushes and today my muscles are aching. have taken electrolyes in case. i'm drinking plenty of fluids and eating, still no diarrhea and i have to admit i'm a little concerned now. any advice. ( i don't drink take drugs or eat meat and fish, i do eat dairy though. and i'm normally pretty careful with hygiene)

Sorry you're in such a miserable state. It does sound like Dengue or a similar viral disease. It can make your joints sore and give you flu-like symptoms. I would recommend continuing to eat what you can and drinking plenty of fluids and try to wait it out. If symptoms worsen get to a doctor before you're too weak to move. If it turns out to something worse you don't want to go too long before being treated. Hang in there and good luck.
