need advice in using patch

gurls...i need advice plss...i plan to use contraceptives patch
but my period is a week past..i mean my period is already finished 5 days ago..
can i still use patch even i didnt start in the first day of my period?
it is still effective?bcoz last week of this month my boyfriend will
coming home from his work, i want to be safe while his here together..

you should also read the instruction package, it explains a lot if you still have doubts.

I use the Evra patch and it said you can either start on the first day of your period or the first Sunday after your period. I rarely get my period so I was waiting for about a year to use them until I just put it on and said whatever! who knows when I'm going to get my period. It doesn't take a month to start working, the information package that comes with the patch said if you start the sunday after use contraceptives for a week. so, Your period already ended 5 days ago which means the sunday after already past right? That's okay. Just start the next sunday on November 7th.

why dont you just wait till your period rolls around again

you wouldnt be safe anyways it takes like a month or more to actual start working

you two want to be safe use condoms for the time being
