need more advice about work issue (and needed to vent some too)

by ladyheart, May 13, 2006 12:00AM
AS many of youy know i posted earlier this week about the situation of being robbed while working 3rd shift at a convenience store. Well things keep getting worse. I have yet to be contacted by the local police about any developments in the case althought i read in the paper today they were caught. They are only calling the store manager with updates and i'm no longer on the employee list for the company. Now she can't officially tell me i'm terminated until after Monday when my dr leave runs out, but she has already hired someoen to replace me on 3rd shift and taken me off the schedule for good.I feel badly enough about being robbed and having a gun put to my face as it is. Shouldn't i be the one being updated also and should i not still have a job to return too? I feel as 'm being victimized by everyone involved in this situation. The robber and his accomplice went before the judge on Friday to have their bond hearing and could be out on the street for all i know. I mean no one is telling me anything about this case. I feel as if the manager was the one they think was robbed at gunpoint and not me.

well, it was real wrong for her to fire you and treat you as if you weren't there. second of all that happened to my aunt and she ended up sewing the company cause it cause emotional stress and she feared her life and still does and she won her case against the store. She won a lot of money so you should find an attorney that does free consulation and no money collect unless you win. also, u can let the store know that you are hiring an attorney or not. its up to you. as long as you had nothing to do with the robbery she had no grounds to fire you. i mean dang you had a gun to your head.  how would she feel if that happened to her then you came in and fired her. i got your back girl, and i will check back in to see how things pan out for ya, but deffinately look into an attorney...hell call sam bernstein...1-800-call sam. Good luck
