negative blood test, 3 positive EPT's...still haven't had a period

Here is the timeline of events to make things easier to understand. I am always on time for my period.
11/18/05 - had for the normal 4 days
12/22/05 - I was late and had the same symtoms I had with my son, so I tested twice and got + EPTs.
12/24-25/05 - I started to spot red but needed no more then a panty liner
12/26/05 - same spotting, called the doc and had blood test done, a nurse (who was totally rude) gave me a urine test which came out neg
12/27/05 - called for results, the nurse didnt send my blood in until the next day. I was completely done spotting. Later that afternoon she called and said that my level was at 10 so either I was never pg or it was a chemical pg. I was so confused that I took yet another EPT which came out positive.

Soo could the blood have been bad since the nurse didnt send it out the next day or are all three EPT's bad? I still havent had a normal period since November. I have a call into the gyn to make an appt but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced something similar.

Did you really mean that your blood test was on 12/27 and not 1/27?  So it's been over 1 month since your blood test and the last hpt and you still haven't gotten your period?

If that is the case, then it certainly sounds like you're pg and I cannot explain the blood test.

I would do two things if I were you at this point.  I would take another hpt today, preferably a different brand than EPT (so you can avoid second-guessing the result by thinking the EPT's are bad).  If it does come out positive then I would call the doc and tell him your last period was November and you've gotten a positive hpt.  Don't mention the weird blood test.  They should have no problems with having you come for another test if it's really been over a month since your last one.

Good luck!

From what I can understand anything above a 5 is a positive beta test.  Could be chemical I really don't know much about those.  But I would get a second opinion.
