nipple bumps

i have these small bump-like things on my nipples, and I've had them for a long time, but only recently have I started to become very self conscious about them.

I have them too. I have always wondered about them, but wouldn't dare ask the doc. I thought if it was something bad he would of said at my check up. He never has though. So, it must be normal.

I just recently found out what those are...at least I think I did. I always thought they were something terrible. Turns out they're natural.
The "bumps" on the areola and nipple are Montgomery's tubercles. These tubercles contain the opening of sebaceous and sweat glands (Montgomery glands) that secrete lubricating substances for the nipple.
