no pap test for many years

by Martha52, Feb 27, 2007 12:00AM
I haven't had a pap test for many years. About 27 years ago I had a complete hysterectomy. The last time I had a pap was about 5 years ago. The doctor said I had an empty baby cradle and there was not need for one. Another doctor said I should have one every two years. THe last one I saw said I should not have to have anymore because new studies said not necessary. i keep up with mamograms but don't know what to think about the pap. any suggestions?
