no period after 10 months of having a miscarriage

Hi I am 18 years old and i had a misscariage on 5th october 2007, i still have not had a period and i am really worried as i have been reading on the internet and it says your periods should return after 4- 6 weeks, i have already been to see a doctor but i was not satisfied with what she said, she was only a trainee and i am starting to worry now as i fear i might not be able to have children in the future

does anyone have an idea of what might be happening with my body or if there is any real concern that something could be wrong, before i fell pregnant my periods were always regular and i am justwondering if you think i should get a second oppinion from the doctors

thanks x

you can request provera from your dr.
what you do is tell your dr that not having a period for almost a full year is NOT HEALTH
for you and that you want a medication to bring on your period... if the Dr still does not do anything get a second opinion and get the meds then report that GYNO ( the 1st Dr) to the state board for Dr's  for NEGLECT it is not OK that you don't have a menstrual flow for 10+ months you can have serious complications with your your body

Your Dr can give you something to induce your period, I'm surprised they haven't done that
