not ovulating after D

bhp
I had a D&C on April 9th of this year.  Prior to getting pregnant my cycle was normal (every 28 days) and lasted 5 days.  I had my first period post D&C May 23rd and we are now trying to get pregnant again.  I used the ovulation kits and never ovulated this cycle.  Also, it is now day 34 and I have not gotten my period (and I am not pregnant).  Is it normal for your body to take time to get back to normal and when should I contact my doctor?
Thanks,
bhp

Yes, it takes time to get back to normal.  I had my D&C on March 23.  I started back on BC because this pregnancy was little early for my husband and I.  My cycle for April was normal as far as on time, but it was very heavy and lasted 7 days instead of the 5 as usual.  My cycle for May was perfect, like before I got pregnant.  However, I am not due to start my cycle for 2 more weeks, and I have already started spotting and then turned a little heavier.  So, I'm back out of whack.  I was told that it takes time.  However, I will contact my doctor depending on how my next cycle is...Hope this helped!  Sorry for your loss and Good Luck TTC!

With my last two d&c's, I didn't ovulate for the first two cycles.  I did the third month though and got pregnant again both times.

Good luck.
