I just started the Nuva ring a month ago. So far I'm loving it. Some people have said they have problems with it coming out during intercourse or a bad bowel movement, but I haven't experienced either. Also, some say it bothers their partner during sex. My husband said he can feel it but not enough to bother him. Also, it is safe to take it out for up to 3 hrs if you'd like to take it out during sex. I just started my 2nd month with it. The only problem I've had, which may not be due to the nuva ring, was a really bad period. I started it last Thursday and still have it today. I've had MAJOR cramping thats worse than when I was in labor with my kid. And I did that all natural. And I've had alot of clotting every day...and pretty big clots. I've never had a period like that before. But like I said I'm not positive that its a result of the Nuva Ring. I lost a baby back in Feb. and had to have a D&C. I didn't have a period after that until the middle of Sept. That one was normal. Then I went on the ring and this one is really bad. But it could just be my body cleaning itself out from not having a cycle for so long. Ok so now that I've written you a book, I think I covered about everything. LOL
PS On the pill I gained weight. I've lost 7lbs since I went on the ring. Again, dont know if the ring has anything to do with it....but I'm enjoying it if it does. LOL

I've heard great things about the Nuva Ring.  Alot of woman love it.  However, I decided against it because I tend to get alot of bv and yeast infections.  The doctor said that it would be the last form of birth control he would recommend to me.  But he has recommended it to alot of women.

The pharmacist I work with actually used this for a while and loved it.  She did have one of the side effects however, which was pain in her leg.  But she definately recommends using it...she said she did have trouble keeping it in sometimes (but she's had 2 kids). She is now using the IUD since she dont want to have another child but is really young to decide on a hystorectomy.
