I have been on Provera 10mg for 2 mths know and still no period, I was on Depo-PROVERA for about 5 years and recently stopped the shot in March 2006. I am worried because me and my husband are trying to get pregnant. What should I DO?
Just for kicks, take a hpt. Provera will not start your period if you are pg.
Then, if negative, call the doctor. He'll be the only one that can tell you the next step. If you aren't happy with his attentiveness or decisions then don't hesitate to get a second opinion, although it can take up to 18 months after your last shot for the effects of Depo to wear off.
Take a HPT. I took provera in Dec 05 and then again in Jan 06 and had periods both times after taking it well in Feb I didnt have a period and I was pregnant!
My dr. gave me provera several months ago and told me when I finished taking it my period should start in 2 weeks and if it did not take a hpt and come back so I would call the dr.
I havent yet, I will go tomorrow to get one but I just dont feel pregnant, I just dont want to get to excited and I FEEL like if I take it and its neg Iam going to feel desappointed, but I will let you know!! wish me luck!!!!!
