ovarian cyst symptoms worsening
on Thursday, I started having lower left abdominal pain and then shoulder pain.  I went to the dr and they ran all sorts of tests and sent me for an ultrasound. everything came back normal, except for an ovarian cyst on both ovaries.

The pain has come and gone since then, but today I started to have pain that feels like menstrual cramps/back pain.

Does this mean that the cyst has ruptured and if so, do I need to do anything about it, or just deal with it until it's over?

thanks!

Hi,
To tide over the pain you can take painkillers and anti-inflammatory agents. The management of ovarian cysts depends on their size, nature and their presentation. If the pain is severe consult your Doctor.
Hope this helps.
